4th workshop of the openRISE project – configuration algorithm and software integration

On May 13 and 14, 2025, the fourth workshop of the openRISE project took place in Saxony. The project has made significant progress: the hardware has been fully tendered, and the core functions of the software have been implemented.

Configuration algorithm for mobile network analysis

The main focus of the workshop was the configuration algorithm for the measurement technology. In the future, this algorithm will be able to configure itself either statically or automatically to detect all mobile radio frequencies – from GSM to 5G Standalone. To achieve this, the mobile network is continuously monitored using an innovative network scanning method.

Next steps and upcoming workshop

With the successful completion of the workshop, current developments were reviewed and the next work packages were clearly defined. Planning is now underway for the next workshop in November 2025. Key topics will include the implementation of the final software architecture on the newly available measurement devices and their integration into the KriKw of the KDD.
